Grant of day off on August 15th and 20th of 2014
The Government has decided to grant a day off on August 15th and 20th of 2014, to all employees and agents of the ministries or their dependent services, as well as to the institutes and integrated indirect administration bodies of the State.
This decision is based on Law N. 10/2005 of August 10, which determines the days that are national holidays, the official commemorative dates and the days off.
On August 15th, we celebrate the day of the Assumption of Our Lady, one of the solemnities with great importance in the Timorese Christian Community. On August 20th, we celebrate the anniversary of FALINTIL, an important historical date to the Nation, for which the Government has decided to grant a day off on these two days.
