Prime Minister visit to Australia
The Prime Minister, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, visits Australia from February 17 to 23.
On the 17, the head of government will go to Canberra to meet with his counterpart, Prime Minister, Julia Gillard.
From the Australian capital, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão heads to Sydney where he will participate in the ceremony commemorating the 70th anniversary of the beginning of the Battle of the Timor Sea.
On the 20, the Prime Minister will make the launch of "Xanana Gusmão: Strategies for the Future"a collection of speeches delivered between 2007 and 2011 on issues such as development, governance, international law and security meetings. The Governor of the State of New South Wales (NSW), Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, will participate in the launching ceremony of the book.
The Prime Minister will also go to Melbourne where he will meet with the Governor Alex Chernov AC QC and the Acting Premier of Victoria the Hon Peter Ryan MP.
