Since taking office, the 9th Constitutional Government has been committed to solving the problem of the lack of passports.

Following the Council of Ministers' decision of September 27th, 2023, a procurement process was launched for the urgent award of Electronic Passport books. In October, the first batches of passport books arrived in Timor-Leste. Since then, several deliveries have taken place, making it possible to ensure the necessary supplies for the year 2024. WhatsApp Image 2024-02-12 at 16.17.16
