The Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Fidelis Manuel Leite Magalhães, met today, July 22^nd, 2020, with the General Director of the Presidency of the Council Ministers (PCM), Pedro Feno, and staff, to discuss the preparation of the Annual Action Plan and budget proposal for 2020.

During the meeting, the General Director of PCM presented to the Minister the strategic objectives, the data related to the performance, the results achieved and the budget execution in 2019 and the first half of 2020, and also on the budget proposal to be included in the State Budget for 2020.

The Minister pointed out some important points that should be already included in the budget proposals for 2020 and 2021, at the logistic, physical and human resources levels.

In addition to the budget proposal for 2020, the budget for 2021 is also being prepared.

According to the calendar approved by the Council of Ministers, on June 29^th, 2020, the General State Budget should be approved by the Council of Ministers on August 26^th, to be submitted to the National Parliament from September 15^th. Regarding the calendar for 2021 GSB, it is expected that the Law Proposal analysis by the Council of Ministers will take place on  September 25^th, and that it may be submitted to the National Parliament until October 15^th.
