In 2019-10-04

On October 4, 2019, from 3:45 pm to 5:00 pm, in the Tibar Bay Port Project (TBPP) will be held an awareness-raising ceremony for the prevention of breast cancer. This event is the result of a partnership between the Tibar Bay Port Project and the Alola Foundation and is part of the breast cancer awareness and prevention actions that take place around the world in October, the International Breast Cancer Prevention Month. The event, which will be attended by members of the VIII Constitutional Government, will have speeches by representatives of the TBPP, by the director of the Alola Foundation and by the former President of the Republic Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão. During the cerimony donations will be collected for the Alola Foundation's HALIKU (Hau Hili Atu Kura - I Choose To Heal Myself) program, an awareness and support program for women with cancer in Timor-Leste, set up in March 2014 by Kirsty Sword Gusmão, founder of the Alola Foundation and breast cancer survivor. This program aims to increase women's knowledge of prevention, early detection and breast cancer treatment.
