6th Anniversary of the Human Capital Development Fund

During the commemorative ceremony, the documents and reports from the Human Capital Development Fund (HCDF) on the activities for the period between 2011 and 2015 will be made public.
Among them, are:
• Evaluation of the results of the HCDF’s programmes between 2011 and 2014;
• Analysis and mapping of human resources in Timor-Leste’s public sector between 2016 and 2030;
• Guidelines for scholarships and training guides;
• Annual report of the HCDF for 2016;
• Rules and guidelines of the HCDF;
• Human resources manual for employees in the HCDF.
The ceremony is organized by the Ministry of Planning and Strategic Investment and has the presence of the Minister, Xanana Gusmão.
The HCDF was created in 2011 and its mission is to contribute to the development of national human resources in various strategic areas of development, through funding to programmes and multi-annual training projects, intended to increase the capacity of Timorese professionals.
The HCDF has vocational training programmes mainly targeting young Timorese, technical training programmes for civil servants, as well as for young teachers, police and Defence forces, and scholarship programmes with the goal of obtaining an academic degree for the public and civil servants.
