17th anniversary of PNTL – Timor-Leste National Police
The Timor-Leste National Police (PNTL) celebrates its 17th anniversary, on March 27th.
To mark the date, a ceremony will be held in Police Training Centre, in Comoro, Dili, with the presence of the President of the Republic, the President of the National Parliament, the Prime Minister, the President of the Court of Appeal, the Minister of the Interior, the Chief of General Staff of F-FDTL and the PNTL’s General Commander.
The ceremony starts at 8am, with the arrival of guests.
At 9am, during the parade, promotions and awards will be announced, followed by speeches by PNTL’s General Commander and by the President of the Republic.
At 10am, there will be a tribute at the Monument of PNTL Martyrs, to former members of the corporation who died in the service.
The Thanksgiving Mass is celebrated the previous day, March 26th, at 8am, in the chapel of St. Anthony, at the Police Training Centre.
