Extraordinary Meeting of the Council of Ministers of February 10th, 2014
The Government gathered, extraordinarily, on Monday, February 10th, 2014, at the Ministry of Finance, in Díli, and approved:
1. Government’s Decree regulating the Execution of the General State Budget for 2014
This diploma, which was exhaustively analysed by the members of the Government, establishes the necessary rules to the execution of the General State Budget (GSB) for 2014. With this Government’s Decree, we aim to ensure an effective and strict budgetary control as well as a greater discipline on public expenditure, in accordance with the approval of the policy established in the GST for 2014.
From the several established measures, it is highlighted the obligation of the use of the Financial Management Information System by all State bodies and autonomous funds and services, thus allowing greater transparency related to budgetary execution and, simultaneously, facilitating supervision activities by the National Parliament.
