Grant of day-off on November 29th, 2013
The V Constitutional Government of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste has decided to concede a day-off on November 29th, 2013, to all public servants and agents of ministries or other attached services, as well as to staff of institutes and organisms included in the indirect administration of the State.
This decision is based upon Law n. 10/2005, of August 10th, which sets the days considered as national holidays, the official commemorative dates and the days-off.
The date of November 28th, day of the Proclamation of Independence of Timor-Leste, is one of the official commemorative dates with fixed date. Taking into account that the celebration ceremony of the Proclamation of Independence of Timor-Leste will, this year, take place in Kraras, district of Viqueque, the Government has decided to concede a day-off on Friday, November 29th, in order to allow citizens to participate in the event.
