Prime Minister participate in the Edinburgh International Culture Summit

The Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão was invited to participate at the inaugural Edinburgh International Culture Summit, that opened on August 13, with ministers and speakers from around the world gathering to debate the power of culture in forging relationships between nations.

The Summit, which will celebrate and enhance Scotland and the UK’s reputation for creativity, innovation and imagination, is a collaboration between the Scottish Government, the UK Government, the Edinburgh International Festival and the British Council, and will be hosted at the Scottish Parliament.

The Summit brings together culture ministers with prominent artists, thinkers and others involved in developing and implementing cultural policy, offering participants a unique opportunity to discuss the power, position and profile of the arts, culture and creative industries.
