Launch of the Website of the ACBD Government Radio Program
The Government Radio Program “Goodbye Conflict Welcome Development” (Portuguese acronym ACBD) is gaining ground on the internet at www.radio-acbd.gov.tl. On May 25 at 10 a.m. the site was officially launched by HE the Vice Prime Minister at the Government Palace in Dili.
The program under the responsibility of the Government,ACBD, is issued weekly on Radio Timor-Leste - RTL, National Radio 91.7 FM frequency in two languages: in Tetum on Tuesday (live at 7 p.m.) and in Portuguese on Sunday (4 p.m.).
For one hour, the ACBD listeners will get to know Government activities and main issues discussed in the National Parliament, including interviews, news, agenda items and press releases. Beginning on May 25 the program will also be accessible through the Internet at www.radio-acbd.gov.tl, expanding its national dissemination beyond the borders of Timor-Leste, especially useful for overseas Timorese communities abroad, who will now have faster and more updated access to information about what is happening in the country.
This website also provides space for Timorese community radio stations to develop local programs.
With the Portalthe radio program Goodbye Conflict Welcome Development will also also be added to social networks, with Kolega Sira, on Facebook and Twitter allowing the Government of Timor-Leste to join new social media.
