Labor Day - Promoting decent work and strengthen the unity in the workplace
On May 1, the Secretariat of State for Professional Training and Employment (SoSPTE) will celebrate Labor Day with a Work Fair, workshop and the launch of Labor Law N.o 4/2012. The events will take place at the Dili Convention Center from Monday, April 30, to Tuesday, May 1.
The celebrations have the theme "Promoting decent work and strengthen the unity in the workplace."

8.15 – 9 a.m.: Registration of participants
9 – 9.10 a.m.: Welcome speech by the Secretary of State for Professional Training and Employment, Bendito Freitas
9.10 – 9.15 a.m.: Opening of the Work Fair by the Prime Minister, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão
9.15 – 10 a.m.: Visit to the stands by the Prime Minister and party
10 – 10.30 a.m.: Opening of the workshop and launch of the Labor Law N.o 4/2012
10.30 – 10.45 a.m.: Coffee Break
10.45 - 11.30 a.m.: Presentation by the Deputy from the Commission HJ of the National Parliament, António Cardoso, followed by debate
11.30 - 12.30 a.m.: Presentation by Fr John Aparício Guterres, SDB, representative of Civil Society followed by debate
12.30 - 1.30 p.m.: Presentation by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Timor-Leste (CCI-TL) followed by debate
1.30 – 2.30 p.m.: Lunch
2.30 – 3.30 p.m.: Presentation by José Conceição da Costa, KSTL, followed by debate
3.30 – 4.30 p.m.: Presentation by SoSPTE followed by discussion
4.30 – 5 p.m.: Coffee Break
