Council of Ministers Extraordinary Meeting from January 30, 2012

 

The Council of Ministers met this Monday, January 30, 2012, in the Council of Ministers Meeting Room, at the Government Palace, in Díli and analyzed:

1. Current status of the electoral and festivity preparations for 2012

Following the work for the preparation of the presidential and legislative elections that the Council of Ministers has been developing in recent months, this Monday, the day the Prime Minister returned from an official visit to Qatar and Germany, the government met again to update the tasks already developed and coordinate the process to ensure the success of the two elections scheduled for this year.

With the same objective, the Council of Ministers, together with the Organizing Committee of the 2012 festivities (Ten years of Restoration of Independence of East Timor, 100 years of the Revolt of Manufahi and the 500th anniversary of the arrival of Portuguese Timor), has examined how these three major events are being prepared.
