Day off: Timor Tour

 

The Law n.o 10/2005, from August 10, determines the national public holidays, the official commemorative dates and days off.

The Timor Tour is an initiative from the President of the Republic and a unique opportunity for the Timorese People to show the island to the rest of the world, allowing for the development of local tourism, sustainable economic growth and promotion of the country’s image as a safe destination for international visitors.

The Timor Tour will take place from September 11 to 16 of the current year, through all districts of the country.

In this way, according to number 1 and bullet b) of number 2 of article 7 of Law number 10/2005, of the 10th August, the Prime Minister determines that:

- September 12, 2011 is given as a day off in the Manatuto district;
- September 13, 2011 is given as a day off in the Viqueque district;
- September 14, 2011 is given as a day off in the Lautem district
- September 15, 2011 is given as a day off in the Baucau and Manatuto districts;
- September 16, 2011 is given as a day off in the Díli district.

The day off is for all the public servants and agents from the ministries or dependant services, as well as institutes and organisms integrated in the State direct administration.
