Timor-Leste Development Partners Meeting (TLDPM)
The Timor-Leste Development Partners Meeting (TLDPM) will be held at the Conference Centre, in Díli, between 11 and 13 of July. The TLDPM event will comprise three consecutive days of dialogue.
On the first day after the bilateral meetings take placea dinner for heads of delegations will be hosted by the President of RDTL, Dr. José Ramos-Horta.
On the second day, the Prime Minister of Timor-Leste, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão will do the official launch of the “Strategic Development Plan (SDP)”. Several key note speeches are predicted to be carried out namely: Mr. Haruhito Kuroda, President of the Asian Development Bank on “A Vision for Asia in 2030 – Investing in Timor-Leste’s Future”; Representative from the World Bank on “Timor-Leste’s Emergence from Fragility”; and from Professor Jeffrey Sachs, Director of Columbia University’s Earth Institute, on “Timor-Leste’s Development Trajectory”.
The meeting will also address round table discussions concerning key thematic areas such as: Agriculture, Oil and Gas, Tourism, Social Issues (Education and Health), and Good Governance that will be chaired by their respective Ministers and Secretaries of State.
