Commemoration of the 9th Anniversary of the Restoration of Independence of Timor-Leste

Timor-Leste will commemorate the country’s 9th Anniversary of the Restoration of Independence, on the 20 May 2011.
On the 19 May, at 9 a.m. a Holy Mass will be held at Dili Cathedral.
On the 20th May, the commemorations begin at 9 a.m. with the National Flag Raising Ceremony at the Government Palace, followed by the Inspection of the Troops by the President of the Republic.
At 5 p.m. the National Flag Lowering Ceremony will close the commemorations.
The President of the Republic, José Ramos-Horta, the Prime-Minister, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, the President of the National Parliament, Fernando Lasama de Araújo and the President of the Court of Appeal, Cláudio Ximenes, will be present at the ceremony.
