PRESS RELEASE
The Council of Ministers elected, through secret ballot, Dr. Aurélio Guterres to the position of Rector of the Timor Lorosa’e National University (UNTL).
The outgoing Rector present three candidates to be submitted to the Council of Ministers by the Minister of Education. The candidates list was composed by: Dr. Aurélio Guterres, Dr. Faustino Gomes and Dr. Francisco Martins.
The elected Rector cannot assume other posts that may prevent his availability to serve full-time as its rector pursue the consolidation of the UNTL’s institutional development.
The Council of Ministers congratulates all candidates for their availability, dedication and high sense of responsibility. The choice wasn’t easy.
Finally, the Council of Ministers congratulates the elected Rector, Dr. Aurélio Guterres for he’s election and wishes all the success for the five years mandate.
