Ramelau Culture Festival 2010

From 27 Out until 29 Out

The Government, in an initiative from the Presidency of the Republic, is collaborating in the Ramelau Culture Festival 2010, whose activities will take place from the 27 to 29 October, at Ramelau.
This Festival intends to promote the culture and tourism of the country, bringing, from all thirteen districts, a sample of each one’s identity that, as a group, constitutes Timor-Leste’s identity.

Collaborating in the organization of this event, in technical issues, support to infrastructures and logistics, before and during the event, were the Secretariat of State for Culture (Portuguese acronym SEC) from the Ministry of Education (Portuguese acronym ME), the Ministry of State Administration and Territorial Zoning (Portuguese acronym MAEOT), the Ministry for Tourism, Commerce and Industry (Portuguese acronym MTCI), the Secretariat of State for Public Works (Portuguese acronym SEOP) from the Ministry of Infrastructures (Portuguese acronym MIE), the Ministry of Health (Portuguese acronym MS), The Secretariat of State for Youth and Sport (Portuguese acronym SEJD), RTTL, PNTL and the F-FDTL.
According to the organization, the Hatobuilico sub-district, from the Ainaro District, is ready to receive the Festival’s visitors, having prepared several types of accomodation, communication infrastructures and they also have a health post with an available medical team.

Wednesday, 27 October

Inauguration of the Ramelau Ladder project

18.00h – 18.30h
Cultural ritual by the elders, representing 13 Districts

18.30h – 19.30h
Opening of the “Ramelau Cultural Festival 2010”

From 19.30h onwards
Musical and dance interpretations by cultural groups from the 13 Districts and by the especial guest
