Christmas Message from the Government of Timor-Leste: Hope, Unity and Commitment to the Future
On the occasion of the Christmas season, the 9th Constitutional Government, led by Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, addresses all Timorese with a message of peace, hope and commitment to the country's future.
The year 2024 was marked by a joint effort to correct the challenges of the past and lay the foundations for a more promising future. Focusing on implementing structural reforms, developing strategic infrastructure, economic growth and social welfare, the Government has been working to build a more united, prosperous, and fair Timor-Leste, where every citizen has better life opportunities.
Christmas is a time for people to reflect and renew, and the Government reaffirms its commitment to continuing to work with dedication, responsibility, and transparency to respond to the population's needs. Together, with solidarity and determination, we will be able to face the challenges and realise the dreams of a stronger and more developed country.
Agio Pereira, Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and Spokesperson for the 9th Constitutional Government, said, “This is a time to celebrate the achievements, reflect on the challenges and, above all, renew the commitment to work for the well-being of all Timorese. The Government will continue to make every effort to build a fairer, more inclusive, and prosperous future for present and future generations”.
