Meeting of the Council of Ministers on October 9th, 2024
The Council of Ministers met at the Government Palace, in Dili and decided to grant full powers to the Minister of Planning and Strategic Investment, Gastão Francisco de Sousa, to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, within the scope of development cooperation. The agreement should be signed on October 11th, during Minister Gastão Francisco de Sousa's official visit to Jakarta.
This memorandum of understanding covers various areas of development cooperation, including building basic infrastructure, promoting affordable renewable energy, creating sustainable cities and communities, fostering agriculture and rural development, encouraging tourism, improving the health and education sectors, stimulating private sector investment, promoting digital development, social inclusion, and climate change mitigation efforts.
