Extraordinary Meeting of the Council of Ministers on December 12th, 2022
The Council of Ministers met, at the Government Palace, in Dili, and approved an amendment to the Decree-Law approved by the Council of Ministers in its meeting on November 9th, 2022 on the extraordinary payment of one month's additional salary.
After having received the message from His Excellency the President of the Republic, the Council of Ministers today approved an amendment, which maintains in general terms the principle of universality from the original Decree of November 9th, now including all the employees, regardless of whether they are national or international.
The value of the extraordinary payment is equivalent to the value of the beneficiary's monthly salary in December 2022. However, in order to standardize the value of the extraordinary payment among Public Administration workers, limits are established by comparison with the general regime. Thus, the payment to national and foreign Public Administration employees is limited to the value of the maximum grade and step of the salary scale of the career under the general regime, or to the value of the salary of Public Administration employees hired to exercise the position of Director General.
