The Anti-Corruption Commission conducted a raid on the premises of the Government Palace
Dili, October 18th, 2022
Yesterday morning, the Anti-Corruption Commission conducted a series of demarches at the premises of the Government Palace.
Following demarches that were carried out, no Government member was charged with or accused of any crime.
The Government reiterates its confidence in the Judiciary and that the actions of its bodies will always be guided by criteria of independence and legality.
The Government highlights the relevance of the Constitutional regime of immunity of the holders of sovereign bodies for the normal functioning of institutions and the consolidation process of our Democratic State under the Rule of Law.
Lastly, the Government expresses its willingness to collaborate with the Judiciary in whatever is requested of it, as has already occurred in the past. END
