Census 2010
The Census 2010 has the main objective of counting all the people that are in Timor-Leste during the night of 11 to 12 of July.
During two weeks, teams of the National Statistics Directorate will visit all houses in the national territory to a population survey. In addition to the counting of the people, the inhabitants will also be asked about the families economic and social situation.
On the night of July 11 to 12, the population should keep record the number of people who spend the night in their homes to inform the teams of the National Statistics Directorate.
All information collected will be kept confidential.
The statistical data resulting from this Census 2010 will help the Government or other entities, to develop measures more suited to the needs of the population.
