Meeting of the Council of Ministers on February 2nd, 2022
The Council of Ministers met, at the Government Palace, in Dili, and decided to propose the appointment of Filomeno Aleixo da Cruz, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), in Jakarta, according to the project presented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Adaljiza Albertina Xavier Reis Magno.
The draft resolution of the National Parliament proposal was approved, for the ratification of the accession of Timor-Leste to the treaty on the Non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, also presented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. This treaty aims to prohibit the use, development, production, testing, storage, transfer and threats of use of nuclear weapons, with a view to the total elimination of nuclear weapons. END
