Meeting of the Council of Ministers on February 24th, 2021
The Council of Ministers met, at the Government Palace, in Dili, and analysed the proposal for the Creation of the Coordination Committee for the Implementation of Industrial Parks (CCIPI - in Portuguese acronym), presented by the Minister of Tourism, Commerce and Industry, José Lucas do Carmo da Silva. This Committee will have as its mission the coordination and analysis of the multidisciplinary opinions and studies required to draft legislative and political acts, with a view to the creation, installation and operation of industrial parks.
Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Solidarity Social and Inclusion, Armanda Berta dos Santos, and the Vice Minister for Social Solidarity, Signi Chandrawati Verdial, gave a preliminary presentation of the Bolsa da Mãe program reform proposal, through the pilot project “Preparasun ba Jerasaun Foun” (Preparation for the New Generation). This reform, provided for in the Economic Recovery Plan, should be initiated with the implementation of a three-year pilot phase, focusing on early childhood and aimed at reducing poverty, malnutrition and infant mortality.
