Commemoration of National Veterans Day

From March 1 to 3, the 2019 National Veterans Day Commemorations will be held to honor the contribution made by martyrs, combatants and veterans who have fought for the independence of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste (RDTL).
The celebrations will begin at 09:00 AM, on March 1st, with a Mass in the Garden of Heroes of Metinaro. On March 2nd, between 08:00 and 17:30, a seminar will be held at the Dili Convention Center (CCD). On March 3rd, National Veterans Day celebrations will begin at the Government Palace, with the hoisting of the FALINTIL and RDTL flags, speeches and the veterans' march to the CCD, where a fraternization lunch will take place, following a dance to the sound of music played and sung by veterans.
