Minister of Justice in international events within the CPLP
The Minister of Justice Ivo Valente, travel to Lisbon on 19 and 20 April to attend the opening of two international meetings, as President of the Conference of Ministers of Justice of the CPLP.
Minister of Justice at meeting of the Superior Councils of the Judiciary

The Minister of Justice, Ivo Valente, will be attending the opening meeting of the Superior Councils of the Judiciary.
The opening ceremony will take place in the Supreme Court of Justice of Portugal and will be chaired by the President of the Portuguese Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa. Interventions will be made by the President of the Superior Council of the Judiciary and President of the Supreme Court of Justice of Portugal, António Silva Henriques Gaspar, by the Minister of Justice of Portugal, Francisca Van Dunem, and by the Minister Ivo Valente, acting as President of the Conference of Ministers of Justice of the Portuguese Speaking Countries (Portuguese acronym, CPLP).
The acting President of the Court of Appeal and acting President of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary, Maria Natércia Gusmão Pereira, the Judge, Antonino Gonçalves, and their counterparts from the various Member States of the CPLP will also attend the meeting.
Minister of Justice in the Second Contact Points of the CPLP Judicial Network Meeting

The President of the Conference of Ministers of Justice of the Portuguese Speaking Countries, Ivo Valente, Timorese Minister of Justice, will deliver a speech at the opening session of the Second Contact Points of the CPLP Judicial Network Meeting.
That judicial network was established in November 2005 and is made up of representatives (“contact points”) designated by Member States and appointed by their Ministries of Justice, Public Prosecutors and Prosecutors General, as well as by the judicial bodies .
The Director-General for the Ministry of Justice, Henrique de Oliveira Ximenes, the Judge, Antonino Gonçalves, and the Assistant of the Prosecutor General, Zélia Trindade from Timor-Leste will attend the meeting.
On the margins of this meeting the Memorandum of Understanding will be signed between the Conference of Ministers of Justice of the Portuguese Speaking Countries and the Conference of Ministers of Justice of Ibero-American Countries (Portuguese acronym COMJIB), which shall be represented by its Secretary General, Arkel Benítez Mendizábal .
Working meetings will also be held with the Executive Secretary of CPLP, Ambassador Murade Murargy and with the chairman of ASEAN Commission in Lisbon, Ambassador Philippe J. Lhuillier.
Minister Ivo Valente will visit the Portuguese Institute of Registries and Notaries, where Timorese notaries and registrars trainees will be given training, lasting for several months, under the Protocol of Cooperation between the Ministries of Justice of Timor-Leste and Portugal, signed on February 25th, 2016
