Twentieth Ordinary Meeting from the Council of Ministers of the CPLP

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation from Timor-Leste, acting as host for the Rotating Presidency of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP), will receive the Twentieth Ordinary Meeting of the CPLP, on the next July 24th, 2015, at its facilities, in Dili. The meeting will be chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Hernâni Coelho, following an official opening by the Prime Minister, Rui Maria de Araújo.
The round of meetings will begin on July 20th and 21st, with the 31st Focal Cooperation Points’ Meeting. On July 22nd, will meet the Technical Preparation Group for the Standing Consultation Committee and, on July 23rd, takes place the 184th Ordinary Meeting of the Standing Consultation Committee.
Still on July 23rd, 2015, will be undertaken the opening of the CPLP Headquarters Office in Dili and the worldwide launch of the CPLP Audiovisual Program (5pm.). During the Twentieth Annual Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the CPLP, will also be presented the Chairperson's Report for the Independent High Level Panel on Peace Operations, Jose Ramos-Horta. The former President of Timor-Leste, before acting at the United Nations, had been the representative of the UN Secretary General on the peacebuilding mission in Guinea-Bissau, in 2013.
Taking part in this Twentieth Annual Meeting of the Council of Ministers of CPLP, will be the Ministers of Foreign Affairs from Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique and São Tome and Principe, as well as the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation from Portugal, the CPLP Executive Secretary, the Executive Director for the International Institute of the Portuguese Language (IIPL) and representatives for the Business Confederation, observing Members and other guests.
