Grant of half day-off on June 5th, 2015, from 12.00 p.m. onwards
The Sixth Constitutional Government has decided to grant the half day-off on June 5th, 2015, from 12:00 p.m. onwards, to all public servants and agents of the Ministries or dependent services, as well as to the institutes and bodies that are indirectly part of the State administration. This granting of half day-off also covers schools across the country.
On this day, funeral ceremonies will be held, and where a last tribute will be paid to the former President of the National Parliament and Minister of State, Coordinating Minister of Social Affairs and Minister of Education of the Sixth Constitutional Government, Fernando “La Sama” de Araújo. This is the reason for the granting of the half day-off.
This decision is based on Law no. 10/2005, August 10, which determines the national holidays, the official commemorative dates and the granting of days-off.
