Grant of day-off on May 13th, 2015, from 12.30 p.m.
The Government has decided to grant the day-off on May 13th, 2015, from 12:30 p.m., to all public servants and agents of the Ministries or dependent services, as well as to the institutes and bodies that are indirectly part of the State administration.
This decision is based on Law nº 10/2005, August 10, which determines the national holidays, the official commemorative dates and days-off.
The 13th of May is a solemn day of great importance for the Christian Community, because on this day this Community celebrates Our Lady of Fatima and Her message to the People.
On this day the community pays several tributes to Our Lady of Fatima, by organizing processions and religious events. Therefore, the Government grants the day-off on May 13th,2015, from 12:30 p.m.
