Message of support for those dealing with Australian bushfires
The Government of Timor-Leste extends a message of support and solidarity to those impacted by the bushfires in Western Victoria and in the Adelaide Hills area of South Australia.
In recent days 26 homes have been destroyed in the Adelaide Hills and 29 people hospitalized. Conditions are not expected to improve in the short term with hot windy days forecast.
The Government also commends the efforts of over 700 hundred firefighters currently activated in Adelaide including members of South Australia’s Country Fire Service and fire crews who have travelled from from inter-state.
