Condolences for those lost in the landslide in Jembulung Village
The Government of Timor-Leste extends condolences to the families and friends of those whose lives were lost in the landslide occurring in Jembulung Village on the Indonesian island of Java last Friday evening. The landslide was triggered by heavy rain.
Over 1,000 Indonesian rescue workers, including members of the police and armed forces, have been working tirelessly to find survivors. The Government of Timor-Leste commends their efforts in adverse conditions.
Timor-Leste stands in solidarity with its close neighbor and friend at this difficult time.
