SoSM inaugurates Audio-visual Production Studio

The Government, through the Secretariat of State for Media (SoSM), inaugurated the Audio-visual Production Studio, at the Government’s Palace, in Dili, last January 14th, 2014.

The studio will produce information on governmental projects and measures implemented by the Government, aiming national development, which will be broadcast through radio and television programs.

The Secretary of State for Media, Nélio Isaac Sarmento, stated that “the studio aims to produce information, with accuracy and quality, from the Government institutions to the public”.

To accomplish this goal, it is necessary to build a good cooperation with communication officers from the ministries.

“This space is exclusively reserved for providing support to media professionals in each ministry, in order to rise their knowledge on new technologies for production of information”, referred Nélio Isaac Sarmento, adding that it is being planned the establishment of training sessions for Government’s communication officers, at the Ministry of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.

“When there is no training on communication, this means that the communication we produce is not enough nor good”, concluded the Secretary of State for Media.

Present at the inauguration ceremony, apart from the Secretary of State for Media, were: the General Director of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Victor Maia, the General Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, José Asa, the acting General Director of the Secretariat of State for the Promotion of Equality, Armando da Costa, the National Directors for Information Dissemination and Community Radio, the Heads of Department for Media of the ministries and secretariats of state, the staff of the SSM and journalists.
