Officials of F-FDTL conclude Navigation Course
The awarding ceremony of the certificates of participation in the Navigation Course to the twenty officials of the Naval Component of the F-DFTL took place on December 12th, at Hera’s Naval Base, in Dili. The course was attended by four captains, twelve sub-lieutenants and four second-lieutenants.
After the awarding of the certificates, Lieutenant Colonel “Haksolok”, representing the Chief of General Staff of the F-DFTL, highlighted the importance of this training to sailors, asking them, however, not to feel “too proud as thecertificates carry further responsibility and professionalism”.
The Second Commander of the Naval Component, Captain Lieutenant Adão Brito “Jacky”, also stressed the importance of this course, “to increase the navigation ability of the officials”.
The course lasted four months and was delivered by a trainer from Portugal’s Armed Forces. Training shall continue in 2014.
