Governments of Timor-Leste and South Korea inaugurate Computer Based Test Centre (CBT)
The Secretary of State for Professional Training and Employment Policy, Ilídio Ximenes da Costa, along with the Ambassador of South Korea, Oh Hyang Kyun, inaugurated, last November 6th, the Computer Based Test Centre (CBT), located in Becora, Dili.
This new test system, CBT, for Korean Language, is replacing the former Paper Based Test (PBT) - in other words, tests will be made on computer, replacing the ones on paper. Tests will be made through the Internet, so the work candidates to South Korea shall start doing the tests on-line.
The Secretary of State for Professional Training and Employment Policy, on behalf of the Government, thanked for the support of South Korea, on capacity building of Timorese human resources. “CBT Centre will also provide capacity building of young people in the technology area. I feel proud of this new on-line test on Korean language. It is the first time that the SoSPTEP uses this system”, concluded the Secretary of State.
The Ambassador of South Korea in Timor-Leste, Oh Hyang Kyung, made it known that his Government intends to maintain good cooperation between both countries, so that more workers are sent to South Korea. “The on-line exam is a method that will allow workers to take their exams easily”, assured Oh Hyang Kyung.
Also participating in the ceremony were the Secretary of State for Fisheries, Rafael Pereira Gonçalves, the Vice President of South Korea, Lee Chun Box and the General Director of SoSPTEP, Jacinto Barros Gusmão.
