Technicians of MoPW participate in training in Maliana
The Ministry of Public Works (MoPW), through the National Directorate of Human Resources, organized training for the technicians of the Ministry of Public Works. The training took place from the 2nd to the 5th of September, in the regional hall of Public Works in Maliana.
According to the National Director of Human Resources of MoPW, Celso da Costa Oliveira, the training aims to prepare the human resources of the Ministry in the districts for the implementation of the city council, while accelerating the decentralization program.
The training materials are related to the management of procurement and contracts administration. This training is based on the cooperation agreement established between the Ministry of Public Works of Timor-Leste and its Indonesian corresponding department. The Indonesian trainer, Teguh Ungsiadi specialist of his Ministry in Indonesia, said that "the capacity building of human resources aimed at ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery is very important."
Aniceto Andrade, one of the participants appreciated this training as it allows him to acquire more knowledge and experiences from another country: "We need to learn more and by learning we can contribute better to the development of our country in the future."
