Timorese are trained on milking methods, in Indonesia
On june 21st, the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, and the Secretary of State on Vocational Training and Employment Policy, attended the farewell ceremony for 20 students (3 women and 17 men) from the Lospalos sub-district, district of Lautém, who will attend a one month training course on milking, in Batu-Malang, Indonesia.
The Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Mariano Assanami Sabino, said "I stress the importance this course represents for the qualification of our human resources, at a time when we are all committed to accelerate the development of the country. Those who are traveling to Indonesia, besides representing our youth, are representing the nation. You should take this opportunity to learn, and when you return, apply the acquired knowledge".
The Secretary of State on Vocational Training and Employment Policy, Ilídio Ximenes da Costa explained that this program involves his State Secretariat in the area of training, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries in the production area. He further told the graduates, "we are in conversations with the Indonesian Ambassador in Timor-Leste, regarding sending two instructors from Malang, to monitor you in the field and to carry out your assessment. "
The representative from the Embassy of Indonesia in Timor-Leste, Mr. Mahendra, considers that this human resources capacity building program from Timor- Leste, is a very positive one, in which the Government is committed, and has given financial support for its development. "We want the students to learn the milking technique and to experience a good exchange of knowledge in Indonesia," concluded the Indonesian Ambassador.
