The Secretary of State of Industry and Cooperatives, Filipus Nino Pereira, together with the Secretary of State of Commerce, Ricardo Cardoso Nheu, both representing the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Environment visited, last May 25^th, the Producing Soap Cooperatives “Aifunan Bahu”, in Baucau and “Sabaun Fini”, in Lautém.

“The Government aims to provide technical assistance to soap producers, given that this product is already dignifying Timor-Leste abroad. We want to keep on promoting these products and make Timor-Leste known by its organic and natural products, therefore contributing to the progress of economy”, emphasized Nino Pereira.

Ricardo Nheu also encouraged local producers to continue their organic production and promised to promote a better coordination with national and international markets for the sake of these products.

The group of producers integrating “Aifunan Bahu” has already placed their product in Cathay Pacific airline.
