Training about the Gender-based National Action Plan, in Liquiçá

The Secretary of State for Security, Francisco da Costa Guterres, did the official opening ceremony of the training about the “Gender-Based National Action Plan”, which occurred in Liquiçá, last June 3rd. This action aimed the agents of Community Police and Civil Security, as well as the Main Points of the National Directorate of Conflict Prevention, inside the Liquiçá’s district Community.

The Secretary of State, Francisco da Costa Guterres, explained “the training aims to raise awareness on our agents over mentality changes. We can’t allow domestic violence. We must contribute to the decrease of conflicts and to the creation of harmony inside families”.

The District Administrator of Liquiçá, Domingos dos Santos, considers that “our participation in conflict prevention is very important, for our community to live in harmony”.

According to Domingos dos Santos, “the domestic violence rate is very high in Liquiçá”.
