Minister of Public Works visits works in the road Ossu-Viqueque
On 14 May, 2013 the Minister of Public Works, Gastão de Sousa, made a visit to Viqueque district to see the situation of the road linking Ossu sub-district to Viqueque district.
Gastão de Sousa informed that MODENA and OHK are the two companies responsible for the rehabilitation of this road. The works are paid with funds originating from the 2013 State Budget.
“We have an annual budget package for rehabilitating roads. This year we have allocated funds for rehabilitating the road linking Ossu to Viqueque and, next year, we are going to allocate funds for other roads”, the minister said.
Gastão de Sousa also added that this project started two years ago and is in the conclusion phase. “If we wish to develop the economic activities we have to have roads in good condition. This is a multiannual project and the anticipated budget is over one million US dollars”, the Minister of Public Works concluded.
