Government and UNTL launch internships in the media area

The Dean of the National University of Timor Lorosa’e, Martinho Pereira, did the opening of the ceremony, on December 4th, in which, he made public the applications to the 84 available vacancies for internships in the media area.
The internships arise from a partnership between the State Secretariat for Media (SSM), the Media Department of the National University of Timor Lorosa’e (UNTL) and the Technical Training Centre in Communication (acronym in Portuguese: CEFTEC), counting with the support from the State Secretariat for Support and Promotion of the Private Sector and the IADE.
For students wishing to apply there are 84 vacancies available, distributed in two types of internship: curricular internship, with 44 vacancies, and professional internship, with 40 vacancies.
The curricular internships lasts one month, and 3rd Year’s students may apply. On the other hand, professional internships are aimed for 4th year finalists’ students and lasts 2 months. Internships may still be remunerated with transportation and food allowance given by the company hosting the internship.
The opening is planned for February 2013 and, until January 25th, 2013, interested students may submit their application to the internship and the private sector companies and public institutions wanting to support this internship’s program may also fill-in the available form here and deliver it at CEFTEC or at the Media Department of the UNTL.
The internships cover the following areas: radio, television, printed press, digital journalism, public relations, publicity, marketing and international affairs
