The Government inaugurates a rural paved road

On Octobert 19th, the Vice Prime Minister for Social Affairs, Fernando La Sama de Araújo, the Secretary of State for Professional Training and Employment Policy, Ilídio Ximenes da Costa, and the Vice Minister for Social Solidarity, Jacinto Rigoberto de Deus, inaugurated a five kilometers long rural road, paved with ECO-CURE (a type of tar), in the Rairobo suco, sub district of Atabae, in the Bobonaro district.
Ilídio Ximenes da Costa said "the ECO-CURE asphalting is part of a pilot project, from the previous SSPTEP program, known as the $3 program, for maintaining roads, which has now moved into the asphalting stage. The program started last year in three areas: the Rairobo suco (Bobonaro district), in the Liquiçá district, and in Krararas (Viqueque district).
"I urge the community to preserve this road, in order to avoid having to resort to the $3 program, and to learn how to take advantage of the benefits enabled by this form of communication," said the Secretary of State.
On behalf of the population from the Rairobo suco, the Atabae subdistrict Administrator, Sidónio Fontes, thanked the Government for this work, which will benefit the activities of the population, from the Rairobo suco as well as their neighboring population.
