The V Constitutional Government, through the Vice Minister of Justice, Ivo Valente, continues to deliver certificates of land ownership to the community. This time, on September 28, the certificates were delivered to ten people representing the sub-district of Lospalos, in the Lautém district.

Ivo Valente said, "the State, through the V Constitutional Government, strives to protect the rights of its citizens with three major philosophies: to continue, to consolidate and to improve. 'To continue', means continuing to implement things that the previous Government already initiated. What we are presently doing is a clear example of what 'to continue' means. The IV Constitutional Government began assigning the certificates of land ownership and this Government is continuing to do so, as it considers this is important to the people "

"Message to the people of Lautém: The V Government continues to implement the process of registering real estate data, until 2017. When we survey the real estate data, we will need your honest cooperation with the Directorate of Land and Property of Lautém, " the Vice Minister appealed.

The District Administrator of Lautém, Zeferino Sequeira, said, "when we started the process, there were many concerns and lamentations. But the Directorate of Land and Property and Registration Services from the district of Lautém, in collaboration with the community leaders and the authorities, was able to carry out its activities. "

The Administrator pointed out "the issue of land is an important one and I hope that all of you, on behalf of the Ministry, will raise awareness and explain the rules to the community so that they will understand their rights and duties."

"I take this opportunity to offer my congratulations to those who received certificates today. To those who have not yet obtained them, I want to inform that the allocation of certificates does not end here, and the process will continue until everyone gets their own" Zeferino Sequeira said.

The ceremony was attended by the Vice Minister of Justice, Ivo Valente, the Secretary of State of Land and Property, Jaime Xavier Lopes; the Administrator for the Lautém district, Zeferino Sequeira; the Commander of PNTL in the district of Lautém; authorities and the local community.
