59 Timorese conclude their training in Solo, Indonesia

On September 26, at the SENAI Professional Training Centre, in Becora, Dili, the Secretariat of State for Professional Training and Employment Policy (SoSPTEP) welcomed 59 students (27 women and 32 men), who completed the two-month training course in Solo, Indonesia.
The training subjects included welding (attended by 9 participants), electricity (6 students), sewing (4 students), auto mechanics (6 students), secretarial (4 students), cooking (7 graduates), cooling technique (1 student), machine shop (2 students), electrotechnics (4 students), computerized accounting (5 student) and wood carving (with 6 students).
The Vice Prime Minister was present at the graduates reception and recommended that they share the knowledge and experience acquired in this training, a principle which, according to Fernando La Sama de Araújo, "should be practiced by young people, and despite the short duration of the training session, which lasted two months, it should contribute to their development. "
"You are all to be congratulated," said the Vice Prime Minister, advising the young people to opt for qualifying themselves, "since we cannot all occupy the post of Vice Prime Minister, it is also impossible for everyone to be a public official, and only a few may occupy the position of National Directors and General Directors. The Timorese population consists of 60% of youth and 20% of elders. In a young country, where the population is mostly young, we have to know how to challenge the difficulties. We should not think that the effort should only come from the others, on the contrary, it is up to each one of us to seek the solutions for our future. "
The Secretary of State for Professional Training and Employment Policy, Ilídio Ximenes da Costa, expressed his gratitude to the trainers "who accompanied and supported our brothers in Solo, during the training period. Your support marked the turning of a new page in preparing the most important thing for our country. I ask the trainees to continue to apply their knowledge and do not forget what you have learned, and make your capabilities a source of motivation to others. "
The representative of the trainers, NUR Setiawan, said he wanted to maintain a good relationship and cooperation in the area of training, between East Timor and Indonesia.
