Completion of the second training course for Marines of the F-FDTL

The Chief of the General Staff of the F-Defense Forces of Timor-Leste (F-FDTL), Colonel Falur Rate Ralek, closed the second training course for the Marines, on September 20, in the Naval Component base in Hera, Dili.
In total, there were thirty-two members of F-FDTL who attended the training course: seven officers, fifteen sergeants and ten soldiers.
"I am proud and honored, because we have another important Force in our institution, in our history and our nation. Therefore, I assure you, that there is still a long way for you in your career. You have already achieved a victory, but this is still not enough; you still have a long way to go in your spirit, in your mind and knowledge, and in your decision and determination. The route has been initiated, the plan has been set, however your will and patience are factors which will determine your career, "said Falur Rate Laek.
The Colonel also thanked the Portuguese instructors who dedicated their time to train this Force in becoming professional and special, thus capable of acting either at sea or on land, to better serve the institution and the people of this country.
Present at the ceremony were, the Chief of General Staff of the F-FDTL, Colonel Falur Rate Laek, the Portuguese military instructor, Carvalho Relva; representatives of the Guarda Nacional Republicana (GNR) and the officers of the naval component of the F-FDTL.
