Timor-Leste signs a bilateral agreement with Cuba

On January 14, the Government of Timor-Leste, through the Secretariat of State for Youth and Sport (SoSYS), signed a bilateral agreement with Cuba in the technical area of sports.
The Secretary of State for Youth and Sport, Miguel Manetelo, said in a press conference that the seven technicians will assist in the area of sports, namely in athletics, volleyball, boxing, community sports methodology and also as teachers in physical and sport education, at the University.
Miguel Manetelo also appealed to the coaches and athletes of the Federation, particularly to volleyball, boxing and athletics, to use the time properly in learning the different sports, before the expiration of the technicians’ contracts.
The seven technicians are Alberto Ramos (athletics), Anahim Liorente Corina (boxing), Heberto Sarmento Bio (volleyball), Dania Librada Garcia Fernandez (community sports methodology), Armando Pascual Lermo (methodology of school sports and physical education), Lázaro La Paz Arencibia (professor of sport methodology) and José Ramos Rodrigues (high-yield methodology).
