RTTL Bodies are sworn in
Radio and Television of Timor-Leste (RTTL), today, November 8, gave a decisive step in the consolidation of its operations as a public company, by swearing in the respective governing bodies, at the Ministry of Finance’s Building in Díli.
In this ceremony, the elements sworn in were for the Administration Board, the Supervisory Board and Board of Review, provided for in Decree-Law No. 42/2008 of 26 November, approving the Statutes of RTTL.
The proper exercise of management by the Board of Directors, inspection and supervision by the Supervisory Board, and liaison with civil society by the Board of Review, will, in the future, allow for public service broadcasting to fulfill its mission in an efficient way and in the respect for social and cultural diversity of the community in which it operates.
The event counted with the speech of the Secretary of State of the Council of Ministers, Agio Pereira, as well as the address by newly inaugurated President of the Board of RTTL, Expedito Dias Ximenes.
