Prime Minister inaugurates the MoTCI Regional Centre in Oe-cusse

The Prime Minister, Kay Rla XananaGusmão, accompanied by the President of the National Parliament, Fernando Lasama de Araújo and the Minister of Tourism, Commerce and Industry (MoTCI), Gil da Costa Alves, inaugurated the building of the MoTCI Regional Centre in the enclave of Oe-Cusse, on August 30.

During the MoTCI Regional Centre inauguration, Xanana Gusmão said: “I ask to the responsible for the Centre to use the building effectively. Pay attention to its maintenance to support the Government's program, with respect to the Tourism, Commerce and Industry area in the enclave of Oe-Cusse, and also implement executive reforms as a priority.”

In the same occasion, the President of the National Parliament, Fernando Lasama de Araújo, praised the company responsible for the construction work for the quality, giving it as an example to others entrepreneurs in order to help the Government to implement its programs.

The Minister Gil da Costa Alves, in his speech, explained that this Regional Center was established with the aim to facilitate, strengthen and decentralize the work of the Ministry in the Oe-Cusse district and respond to the enclave community needs related to relevant services.

The Regional Centre Oe-Cusse construction cost, one hundred and eight thousand U.S. dollars, was taken from the budget allocated to the Ministry of Tourism, Commerce and Industry.
