SEFOPE and Community Training Centers signed a Note of Understanding

The Secretary of State for Professional Training and Employment (SEFOPE) and Community Training Centers, such as Dom Bosco Training Centre and the Confederation of the Comoro Union of Timor-Leste, signed a Note of Understanding, in August this year.

According to the Secretary of State for Professional Training and Employment, Benedito Freitas, the objective of this Note of Understanding is to continue SEFOPE’s commitment in supporting training centers, established by the community, for the purpose of mutual collaboration in training and qualification of human resources, particularly in the technical-professional area.

The Secretary of State also noted that the training of human resources is not only the responsibility of the Government, it also counts with the important contribution of the Community Training Centers in the management of funds allocated by SEFOPE, in accordance with identified needs, encouraging trainees to compete in the market.

Taking advantage of the occasion, the SEFOPE also signed a Note of Understanding with the Ministry of Justice (MOJ), Ministry of State Administration and Territorial Management (Decentralization Secretariat) and Ministry of Education, to facilitate and deliver on the job training, given the 369 young people seeking work experience before entering the professional field.
