Priority areas for the Ministry of Health

Aware of the more evident needs of the population, the Ministry of Health has some areas within health that it considers a priority.

The integrated management of maternal and child health, which includes fighting mal nutrition in mother and children, control of diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis and HIV-Aids, mental health, the health of elder and handicap persons and diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, renal complications, among others, are areas of greater focus.

However, from these one cannot dissociate a set of actions that have to do with the management and investment in human resources areas (health professionals) and in mobile and building infrastructure (transport and medical equipment).
